Terms

What applies when you are a member of Erigo, talk to our AI, and buy a course or a subscription.

Membership and account

An account is free Payments handled by Mollie 14-day right of withdrawal

Erigo is operated by Elevate Learning AB (559240-0070). Questions about an order or a subscription? Contact kontakt@erigo.se.

What these terms cover

These terms are the agreement between you and us. They apply to your account, to how we behave towards each other on the platform, to the AI features, to how we handle your data, and to everything that can be bought here.

Reading them takes a few minutes and there is nothing hidden in them. If something is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain words.

Becoming a member

Anyone from 13 years old can create an account. Are you under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian, and to buy something you need to be 18 or have that consent for the purchase as well.

Give us details that are correct and keep them up to date. An account created with someone else's identity is closed as soon as we find it.

Your account is yours alone

Your login is personal. Do not share it, lend it out, or hand it over to someone else, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account.

What you have paid for follows the account or the workspace it was bought for, not the person who happens to be logged in.

Where an account belongs

Every account belongs to a workspace, which is the unit we invoice. For a private person the workspace is just you. For a school or an employer it is the organization, and a purchase made by an administrator belongs to the organization rather than to the person who made it.

Leaving

You can close your account whenever you want, from your settings or by writing to us. Certificates you have earned keep their verification links, and what we have to keep for accounting reasons stays for as long as the law requires.

Life in the community

How we treat each other

Erigo is a place for learning, so the tone matters. Assume the other person is asking in good faith, disagree with the argument rather than the person, and leave room for someone who is new to the subject.

  • No harassment, threats, or personal attacks
  • No hate speech or content that singles people out for who they are
  • No spam, advertising, or link dropping
  • No illegal material and nothing that breaks someone else's copyright
  • No scraping, automated requests, or attempts to get around limits in the platform

What you write and share

Comments, answers, and notes you write stay yours. By posting them you give us permission to store and show them on Erigo, and nothing more than that. We do not sell them and we do not use them in advertising.

Answer for what you post. Do not put personal details about other people, or material you have no right to spread, into something you write here.

When we step in

We would rather have a word with you than close an account. Something that breaks the rules above is removed, and we tell you why. Serious or repeated cases lead to a suspension or a closed account.

Think we got it wrong? Reply to the message and we look at it again. If we close a paid account without you having broken these terms, we refund the part of the period that has been paid for but not used.

The material and the service

How you may use the material

Articles, courses, video, and audio on Erigo are protected by copyright and licensed to you for your own learning. Quote and refer to them as you would any source, but do not copy, republish, resell, or feed them into a system that hands them on to others.

The library changes

We keep adding, updating, and now and then retiring articles and courses, so we cannot promise that one particular title stays available forever. A course you have bought on its own stays open to you for the period you paid for, even if it is retired for everyone else.

Availability

We work to keep Erigo open around the clock and announce planned maintenance in advance where we can, but no service is free of interruptions. Short stops do not give a right to compensation. If a fault keeps you out for a longer stretch, tell us and we make it right.

AI and ELSA

What ELSA is

ELSA is an AI assistant built to support your learning. She explains, asks back, and points to the source she is drawing on, and she is included in a free account.

She can be wrong. Her answers are not professional, medical, or legal advice, and anything that matters should be checked against the source she points to or against a human who knows the subject.

What happens to your conversations

What you write to ELSA is sent to the AI provider that generates the answer and is saved in your account so you can go back to it. You can delete a conversation whenever you want.

We do not train models on what you write and we do not let our providers do it either. Do not put sensitive personal details about yourself or anyone else into a conversation.

AI in what we publish

We use AI as a tool when we produce material, but a human decides what goes out and answers for it. AI does not grade you, decide whether you pass, or close an account on its own.

Our full view on where AI belongs in learning is written down separately. Read our AI philosophy.

Your personal data

Who is responsible

Elevate Learning AB (559240-0070) is the controller for the personal data we handle about you, and we follow the GDPR.

We collect what an account needs to work: your name and email, what you have read and finished, what you have bought, your conversations with ELSA, and technical data such as the language you use the site in.

Why we are allowed to

Most of it rests on the agreement between us, since an account cannot work without it. Bookkeeping rests on the law, emails you have signed up for rest on your consent, and keeping the platform safe rests on our legitimate interest.

We never sell your data. It is shared only with the suppliers who run the service for us, such as Mollie B.V. for payments, and only with what they need to do the job.

Your rights

  • Get a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Have something corrected that is wrong
  • Have your data deleted when we have no reason left to keep it
  • Take your data with you in a machine-readable file
  • Object to a use that rests on our legitimate interest, and withdraw a consent you have given

Write to kontakt@erigo.se and we answer within a month. Are you unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

The details are written out separately
How long we keep each thing, which suppliers we use, and where the data is stored is set out in full in our privacy policy, and what we store in your browser is listed in our cookie policy.

An account costs nothing

What you get without paying

Erigo is open. Create an account and you can use the platform without giving us a card and without a trial that quietly turns into a bill.

  • The full article archive, in Swedish and English
  • Every published course, with a certificate when you finish one
  • Our AI assistant ELSA, who answers questions about what you are learning
  • Listening access to articles that have audio
  • Events and webinars that are marked as free

We never charge you quietly

Nothing is taken from you unless you have actively bought it and seen the amount before you paid. If the free part of Erigo changes so that something you use today moves behind a price, we tell you before it happens.

Fair use
A free account is meant for one person learning. We may slow down or close an account that automates requests, scrapes the archive, or is shared between many people.

What costs money

Courses sold on their own

Some courses carry a price of their own and are paid for once. The price and how long you keep access are shown on the course before you pay.

Access opens as soon as the payment is confirmed and closes when the access period for that course runs out. A single course never renews and does not turn into a subscription.

Subscription for an organization

A workspace can run on a monthly subscription that covers everyone in it. An administrator starts it from the admin area and the amount is charged to the workspace each month until it is ended.

What the subscription includes, and for how many people, is shown when it is started or set out in your quote.

Larger plans and services

Bigger setups, onboarding, and advisory work are quoted per organization and run under a written agreement that is signed separately. Prices are on the page for organizations or in your quote. Where that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement applies.

New organizations get seven days to decide. Tell us within that week that it is not the right fit and we refund what you have paid in full.

Prices, payment, and receipts

Prices

Prices for private individuals are shown including VAT. Prices for organizations are shown excluding VAT, with the VAT added at checkout or on the invoice.

The amount shown before you confirm is the amount you pay. We add no fees on top of it. Your bank may add a currency conversion fee, which is a matter between you and them.

How you pay

All payments go through Mollie B.V., our payment provider. You are taken to their checkout to pay, and which methods you can choose there depends on your country and the currency of the purchase.

Erigo never sees or stores your card number. We keep a reference to the customer record at Mollie so we know what has been bought and when a payment went through, nothing more.

Receipts and invoices

A receipt is sent by email for every payment. Need a proper invoice, a copy, or a receipt made out to a company? Write to kontakt@erigo.se and we send it.

When a purchase becomes binding

The agreement is made when your payment is confirmed and access opens. For a subscription that moment also starts the first billing period.

Renewal, failed payments, and price changes

Automatic renewal

A subscription renews on the same date each month and is charged to the payment method saved at Mollie, until it is ended by you or by us. Courses bought on their own are single payments and never renew.

If a payment fails

Mollie tries the payment again a few times over the following days. Update the card or choose another method and the subscription carries on as before.

If the payment still does not go through, the subscription ends and whatever it covered closes with it. Certificates already earned and courses bought on their own are not affected.

Price changes

We email you at least 30 days before a price change takes effect. If the new price does not suit you, end the subscription before it starts. Letting it run on past that date means the new price is accepted.

Ending a subscription

How to end it

End it whenever you want, with no notice period and no reason needed. Email kontakt@erigo.se from the address on the account and we close the subscription and confirm it back to you.

  • Access stays open until the end of the period already paid for
  • No further payments are taken once it is ended
  • We do not refund part of a period that has already started, unless the right of withdrawal applies
  • Change your mind before the period runs out and we let the subscription continue as before
  • Accounts, progress, notes, and certificates stay in place afterwards

When we can end it

We may close an account or end a subscription if payments keep failing, if a login is shared, or if the account is used to copy our material or to harm other members. If we end a subscription for any other reason, we refund the part of the period that has been paid for but not used.

Right of withdrawal

Fourteen days as a consumer

Buying as a private person gives you 14 days from the purchase to change your mind, under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). It covers both a course bought on its own and a subscription. Purchases made by an organization are business purchases and fall outside this right.

How to use it

Send a message to kontakt@erigo.se within the 14 days and say that you regret the purchase. You may use the standard form from the Swedish Consumer Agency, but nothing forces you to. We repay the full amount within 14 days of hearing from you, to the payment method you used.

When it falls away early

Everything on Erigo is digital content that is delivered the moment you pay. The right of withdrawal ends before the 14 days only if you have asked us to open access straight away and confirmed that you understand you give the right up by doing so. Without that confirmation the full 14 days apply, even though access opened immediately.

Certificates and badges

They stay yours

A certificate you have earned belongs to you and stays in your account whatever happens to a subscription afterwards. Each one keeps its public verification link, so anyone you send it to can check that it is genuine and see what it was awarded for.

When we withdraw one

We only withdraw an issued certificate if it went out by mistake or was obtained by cheating. We tell you why, and the verification link then shows it as revoked rather than quietly disappearing.

Support, complaints, and disputes

Talk to us first

Write to kontakt@erigo.se. We answer within two working days. If something is wrong with a purchase, tell us as soon as you notice it and we put it right.

If we cannot agree

These terms are governed by Swedish law. If we do not reach an agreement, you can take the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), whose recommendations we follow, or to a Swedish general court.

Changes to these terms

We update these terms now and then. Anything that matters to a paying member is emailed at least 30 days before it takes effect, and the subscription can be ended before then if the change is not accepted. Smaller edits, such as a clearer wording or a new contact detail, apply from the day they appear here.
